ONTO STREET ART
Probably the most favorite thing we've done in our english class so far. We discussed street art and it's realness. We ended by watching the movie Exit through the Gift Shop. It was very very good. Anyways, it raises a lot of interesting questions.
First of all, you've got to see this guy Banksy.
This guy is a genius. I mean, he's brilliant. We talked a lot about what street is trying to do. Banksy, with all of his artwork, is trying to send many messages. This message is incredible, because it's referring to a war situation that happened recently. It's just crazy. It's iconic. It's SO BOLD. Seriously, look at this guy's other work. It's too good. So you know that this artwork is sending a pretty real message. The whole controversy behind the movie we watched was if it was real, or if it was just another huge, clever Banksy scheme. I don't know. I don't know if I want to believe either possibility. See the movie. fo real.
